South Tipperary Alcohol & Addiction Service, Coolgreany House, Queen St, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Alcoholics Anonymous, there are AA meetings in all the major towns in South Tipperary.

What These Groups Do:

1	St. Michael's Unit offers the alcoholic a drying out period in a cloistered environment as well as counselling.
2	The South Tipperary Alcohol & Addiction Service offers addiction counselling, assessment and detox treatment along with family counselling.
3	AA offers a twelve-step program to help alcoholics help themselves by applying the program to their lives while staying dry.

What is there to help the Affected Families?

1: Al-Anon

This is a 12 step program dedicated to helping the husbands/wives and the adult children if alcoholics. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a family member.

2: Alateen

This is a 12-step program dedicated to helping the adolescent children of alcoholics. The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a family member.
