What is asthma?
Asthma is achronic disease of the windpipes (the bronchial tables), which doctors call "airways" this is defined by "attacks" or as result of treatment many asthma symptoms result from the narrowing of the airways caused by tightening of muscles wrapped around them. Asthma is quite common; a lot of people have asthma, asthma can be difficult to diagnose in young children under six; there are many causes of wheezing illnesses in young children. Most asthma patients are diagnosed before the age of 15. Asthma is more common in boys than in girls.
Who gets asthma and how?
You could have inherited asthma. You are more likely to suffer from this condition if your mother or father has asthma. Research studies show that smoking while the baby in developing in the mother’s womb or smoking around your child could lead to asthma. Many people have asthmatic attacks when they are exposed to allergens. It is common to suffer an attack when visiting someone’s cat or dog. Asthma affects people differently. Some people might have an occasional attack or maybe once or twice a year.
Bronchial asthma
Many people with bronchial asthma would have a history in their families of allergies. Bronchial asthma is an inflammatory disorder of the airways. And when you get attacks from bronchial asthma you start whezzing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and you also start coughing.
