- Stone Roses vocalist/songwriter
- Born Ian George Brown Ancoats, Lancashire 20/02/63
- Brown was originally the bass player in early Roses incarnation The Patrol, however he quickly took over on the vocals as the band changed their name. Song writing credits were shared with John Squire until the 1994 album Second Coming where Ian contributed individual song "Straight to the Man" shared song writing credits in "Day break" and "Begging You". With the band until their final gig at the 1996 Reading Festival where he made the decision to break up the band.

- Both Mani and Reni guested on the track " Can’t See Me" while Aziz Ibrahim, Nigel Ipinson and Robbie Maddix shared song-writing credits with Brown, and also form his backing band along with drummer Simon Moore.
