the incidence, mortality and morbidity of cancer.

- To increase the knowledge and understanding of prevention, early detection and rehabilitation of cancer.
- To increase knowledge and understanding of the factors involved in the development of cancer and how best to reduce one's risk of developing cancer.
- To promote the establishment of sensible health habits.
- To increase knowledge and awareness of the resources available in prevention and early detection of cancer and recovery from cancer.
To develop, introduce and organise health promotion programmes.

The Irish Cancer Society is the national charity dedicated to preventing cancer, saving lives from cancer and improving the quality of life of those living with cancer, through Care, Education and Research.
The Cancer Helpline is for anyone concerned about cancer. The Irish Cancer Society has specially trained nurses, experienced in cancer care to provide confidential advice and support to over 500 callers each month.
