In 1899 Tottenham, played Notts. County in our first game at White Hart Lane, winning 4-1 in front of 5,000 people.
In 1896 Tottenham Joined the southern league and they won it in 1899-1900 season Also Tottenham were the first ever non league team to win the FA cup in 1900-1901 season.  It was then that we beat Sheffield United 3-1 at Bolton after a 2-2 Draw. The attendance at the first game was in excess of 110,000---the first six-figure attendance at a Cup Final since the competition began in 1871-72.
It was predicted that Tottenham would go from strength but, just as mysteriously as our club has risen, we went into a rapid decline.
