You will be given a series of tasks in a manner similar to the Word Processing assignments of the first term. However, where the first term WP tasks built into a portfolio for assessment, these spreadsheet tasks are given to build up your skills. Each completed task should be presented for evaluation/correction in order to receive the next task in the series.
Each task adds new skills until you begin to be ready to face the first element of assessment, the project.
The second element of assessment, the 2 hour practical exam has several samples available below. In particular the later tasks are required for succesful completion of the exam. To this end, hold on to the tasks as well as the corrected solutions for last minute preparations.
The project is a common project for all with details below.

- For the purposes of this assignment it will be assumed that these are the mobile phone companies in Ireland:

- These are the survey questions:
- Which service provider are they with
- Are they prepaid or postpaid customers
- How satisfied (0-5) are they with their phone company (0 is least satisfied)
- Do they have a prefix from another company (ie have they moved in the past)
- If 'yes' above did they move because of value for money issues, better service(s) or both
- Does the surveyed person use the company website
- How satisfied (0-5) are they with the website (0 is least satisfied)
- Does the person have more than one phone
- Allocated option 2: Broadband Availability & Usage
- For the purposes of this assignment it will be assumed that these are the broadband service providers in Clonmel:

- These are the survey questions:
- Is broadband (not dialup) available in their area (survey terminates if 'no')
- Do they have broadband in their home (not dialup) (survey terminates if 'no')
- What service provider (ISP) are they with
- How satisfied (0-5) are they with their service provider (0 is least satisfied)
- Have they moved broadband provider (ISP) in the past
- If 'yes' above did they move because of value for money issues, service issues or both
- Who pays for the broadband service, themselves or another
- Do they use a wireless connection (WiFi) in the home
